| When I was asked to write about myself and what I do, it made me actually look back at where I was in my life, and where I am now. After that horrific day back on the 10th March 2006, my soul mate & husband of over 30 years was tragically taken from my life in a work place accident. This forced me to sit back and look at myself, and my life. Prioritise, who is Susan Murray? What am I going to do? How can I survive on my own? That’s when this journey began. THE REAL SHOPPING MAD WOMAN! After a whirlwind 18 months, being immersed in my own grief, I quit my job as an Administration Officer in the Medical Profession and walked into a gorgeous little fashion boutique (a bit like grandma’s boudoir) in a regional town, and this is where my passion & career in Personal Image began. I found that people would walk into the shop in a “Retail daze” wanting to try on garments that uplifted them, made them look good & covered those little area’s that we all wanted to hide. Or when stepping out for that special occasion and just wanted to “Shine” but fortunately everyone’s body is different and so is their skin tone. So after trying on umpteen different garments they settle for an item which doesn’t really suit them just for the sake of it, so another outfit goes home to the closet and hangs there with the swing tags still on and lost in “The never worn black hole” which is growing universally every minute! Or they find the gorgeous outfit and float out of the shop uplifted and looking absolutely fantastic, happy & excited about their purchase! My goal is to first honestly help people to shine from within, then by utilizing my resources, guide them into a new life of Retail Confidence with no more pushy sales people telling fibs like, “that looks gorgeous”. |
